It’s Time For a Reframe. My 10 Takeaways from #NEWExeForum 2019

My 10 Takeaways from #NEWExeForum 2019

What did I take away from the Network of Executive Women Executive Forum 2019? Plenty!

Recently, I attended my 10th #NEWExeForum. Aptly themed, Reframe. The Forum was an opportunity to focus on advancing women and moving the needle on gender equity in the workplace.

Personally, this is one of my favorite women’s conferences. I know that at Forum I’ll meet people who are working to create change in their organizations and industries, and I’ll leave with insights, ideas and connections. I met so many amazing women and an ever-growing number of men. In fact, I believe there may have been a record number of men in attendance this year!

This year’s conference was no exception. The speakers were outstanding and I left with several new insights and nuggets from Reshma Saujani, founder and CEO of Girls Who Code and Dr. Pamela Cohen, President of The Mom Project Labs. And I met another male advocate, Andy Dunn. If you haven’t read his “Calling All Male Allies” post yet, I encourage you to read it for his thoughts on why we need to fix the problem, not the women.
